Late Evening at a River

During summer in Finland, the Sun will stay up for a very long time because of the high latitude of the country. At Langinkoski, Kymi River, the darkness may last less than an hour before the sky gets brighter again. These pictures are from the time when the Sun is supposed to set, but you can see that it still looks like day in the first pictures.

As the Sun approaches the horizon, the lighting changes because of the atmosphere and things will look more yellowish.

The Moon is easily visible, however the shutter speed of the camera needs to be low to photograph it, making other objects very dark.
