The island of Norssaari between Kotka Island and the island of Hirssaari connects the islands by a bridge and a railroad. Norssaari is not really separate from Kotka Island, but is still called an island. From there, Hirssaari and the larger island of Mussalo are visible beyond the bridge connecting Kotka Island to Hirssaari. The western coast of Kotka Island and the indrustial area of Länsisatama are also visible from Norssaari.

Many small boats regulary travel under the bridge that connects the islands. The peninsula at the bridge is called Salakanniemi.

There are other interesting views at this small island. I could not really take good pictures from the other side because the sun was shining very low and directly towards that side. Here are some plants and a view of the watchtower at the hill of Haukkavuori.
