I briefly visited the city of Hamina and walked around the city center a bit. Hamina has a lot of old buildings near the center and there are also old remains of a fortress. The central bastion of the fortress is used for cultural events and has a large tent over it.

There are three curches near the center, the St. John’s Church, the St. Mary’s Church and the Church of St. Peter and St. Paul.

The Reserve Officer School of the Finnish Defense Forces is located near the center as well.
