On the 6th of December is the Finnish Independence Day. During the day, there is usually a military parade held. This year the parade was held in Hamina. I went there to see it and to take some pictures from there. I did not get a picture of everything in the parade, and I tried taking a video a few times. Included in the parade were some regular finnish military equipment but also a few newer pieces of equipment (for the Finnish Army) like the K9 artillery and Leopard 2A6 tanks.
The parade started with some flags. Here are the carriers of the Jäger Flag and the Veteran Flags.

After the flags, there was infantry and vehicles from various units of the Finnish Army.

The CV9030 is a Swedish IFV. These were purchased by the Finnish Army in the early 2000s.

The Leopard 2A6 is a a Germant tank. These were delivered to Finland between 2015 and 2019.

The K9 is a Korean self-propelled howitzer. They were first ordered by the Finnish Army in 2017. More units have been brought since then and the latest purchase was in 2022.

The Finnish Army and Airforce flew helicopters and aircraft overhead during the parade. The visibility was too poor to get a good picture of the planes, but the helicopters flew low enough to be visible.

The parade also included other units like cavalry.

During the parade, I tried taking some videos with my camera. I had only taken a video once before, so I’m not really good at it and I did mess up the focus alot here.
