I went to the city of Pori during christmas. Before the trip, I had planned to take pictures in various places during my visit. Unfortunately, I got sick and had to lay in bed for most of the trip. Just before the day I left Pori, I felt good enough to go visit at least one place before I left. I decided to drive to the beach at Yyteri and then north to the small island of Kallo to see what these places looked like during winter.

Yyteri is a large beach with sand dunes to the north of Pori. It is a popular swimming place during summer, but now I visited it during winter. The temperatures were high for winter and only a small amount of snow was on the sand dunes. At the coast, a small amount of ice had formed just at the coast, but the rest of the sea was completely clear of ice.

Kallo is small island with an artificial bridge connecting it to the rest of the land. I drove to the northernmost part of Kallo and just took a few pictures near the parking lot, because I felt too sick to walk much further. From the north, the western part of Gulf of Finland is visible. The Port of Pori is visible on the mainland. On Kallo itself, there is a small lighthouse and some other buildings in the North.
