I arrived at the Tiirismaa nature reserve near the city of Lahti during early morning. I had been here once before during winter when things looked a lot different. The trails I had walked through in winter were now much easier to pass, but mosquitos were constantly harassing me. In the Soisalmensuo Swamp, there was some fog, which caused the sunlight through the trees to make beautiful beams. Here are pictures I took from that morning with a digital camera and with color film.
The small canyon called Pirunpesä (Devil’s nest) had a small lake in front of it during winter. Now the whole canyon is visible.

The air was pretty humid and waterdrops had formed on to leaves.

I arrived at the Soisalmensuo Swamp where fog created the sunbeams in the forest.
