During a visit to the city of Hämeenlinna, I went to the Aulanko nature reserve to the north of the city and I walked around the lake Vanajavesi near the city with my film camera. The Aulanko nature reserve has a watchtower from where the you can see the surrounding areas. On the coast of Vanajavesi, there is an old castle from the 13th century. The pictures here are taken on Fujifilm 200 color film.

The Aulanko area of the city contains a nature reserve with lakes and forest. Many paths lead trough it, you can walk, drive or ride a horse through there. Here are the pictures I took from the nature reserve and from the watchtower.

There were some great views from both the watchower and from just the cliff near the base of the tower.

From the Aulanko nature reserve I walked to the lake Vanajavesi, along the coast of which was the old Häme castle. A path went around the lake between a railway bridge and a bridge near the center of the city. I only walked past the castle since I did not really have time to stay in Hämeenlinna for too long.
