The town of Vääksy is located between two lakes, the Päijänne lake and Vesijärvi lake. There, the Aurinkovuori hill to the west of the town has some nice views of both the lakes. I went to Vääksy during a rainy season. I had hoped that the rain would stop before I arrived, but it was still raining when I arrived at another hill to the east of Vääksy. The weather did turn nicer when I got the Aurinkovuori hill, from where I took some pictures of the scenes. I had a digital camera for the color pictures and a film camera for the black-and-white images.
First, I went to the Pasolanvuori hill near a golf course to the east of Vääksy. There was occasional light rain when I was there, but it ended before I moved to Aurinkovuori. Here is a picture of the rainclouds over Vääksy.

There were still a lot of clouds when I went up the Aurinkovuori hill. The sun was still behind the clouds when I took the next pictures of the Päijänne lake, which made the scene somewhat low in contrast.

When I walked more to the east, the sun was starting to shine more trough the clouds. There was a wide path through the hill, that had been used for skiing during winter and also smaller paths in the forest on top of the hill.

I had been here once before during winter. Then, I did not walk on the main path, which was the ski trail. Along the path there was an opening with cleared trees and a great view of the Vesijärvi lake, which I had not seen during the winter trip. I took a panorama of the opening and walked back from here since I had run out of film.
