Here are some pictures I took from the town of Heinola during this autumn. During a visit to the town, I went to two different nature trails. One that would go to a small hill called Rautvuori, and another that would go along the coast of a lake to the west of Heinola. I tried to time my visit so that I would be at a good spot on the coast to see the sunset there. The color pictures here are taken with a digital camera and black-and-white pictures are taken with film (expect for one color picture of a close up of a mushroom that I turned black-and-white).

Rautvuori hill in northern Heinola has a short trail that goes from the coast of the nearby Ala-Rääveli lake up to the hill. There are a few spots on the trail from which the rest of Heinola and the nature around it is visible.

On the other side of Heinola to the west, there is a larger lake called Ruotsalainen. I went to another longer nature trail that goes along the coast of this lake.
