Porkkalanniemi is a small peninsula on the coast of the Gulf of Finland to the west of Helsinki. There are a few nature trails that go along the coast and to the southern tip of the peninsula, where I went during an evening to take pictures. I had hope to see the sun set there, but more clouds than I expected moved in before it got dark. I still got some nice pictures from the area. The color pictures I took with a digital camera and the black-and-white pictures are taken with film.

I arrived well before sunset and walked on a trail near the western coast of the Peninsula.

Part of the path I walked through went through the forest in Porkkalanniemi, away from the coast.

At the coast, a large cloud front moved in and blocked the sun before sunset.
