Here are some pictures I took during the last half of february this year. The weather was terrible during the weekends and the sun was already setting when my work day ended, so I did not have many opportunities to take pictures in sunny conditions.

The first images are from the rare weekend when the sun was visible. I had planned to go visit a nature trail in the countryside near the town of Leppävirta. It turned out that the trail had received no maintenance during winter and was impossible to walk through without snowshoes, which I did not have. Because I had traveled all the way to the trail, I decided to take pictures of something so the travel would not be a complete waste of time. I ended up taking some pictures from the Mustinmäki area in the countryside of Leppävirta.

The last images are from an evening in the city of Varkaus. Because it was cloudy, the sun was not visible. I used Ilford’s Pan F Plus film with an ISO of 50 and no tripod so I was lucky that some of the pictures were not a blurry mess.

For the last image, the low ISO was actually helpful, since I made this by purposefully shaking the camera.
