Muuratsalo is an island on the Päijänne Lake near the city of Jyväskylä and contains small hills from which the landscape around is visible. There area nature trails going through the whole island and to the hills. I went there to take the following pictures and when I arrived, there was some rain which luckily ended quickly. I only went trough a small part of the nature trails to the Hakolanvuori hill and to the Paljaspää hill.
The trail I went through started with a very easy-to-travel dirt trail to the coast. The forest and the plants had started to grow after winter.

At the coast, rainclouds were visible over the Lehtisselkä lake, which was still partially frozen. Snow was also visible on the Riihivuori hill in the distance.

After the coast, the path went properly into the forests of Muuratsalo.

After walking through the forest, I arrived to the Hakolanvuori hill. There were a few places that had less trees from where the landscape around the hill was visible.

Another hill which I got to was the Paljaspää hill on the northern part of Muuratsalo. By the time I got there, the sun was shining almost directly above, making the landscape look flat and dull.
