The Pielisjoki River goes trough the city of Joensuu in Eastern Finland. There is a path going from the mouth of the river at one side of the city all the way to the other side of the city. I took some pictures of the nice scenes while riding a bike along the path on a summer morning.

I did not start from the mouth of the river, but close to it at the Kirkkopuisto park which is next to the Church of Joensuu.

I turned around once I reached the Utra islands on the river that are near the other side of the city.

One of the pretty scenes near the river was the Utra community gardens.

Some other pictures I took once I got back to the Kirkkopuisto park of the nearby buildings and the park itself.
