Winter Streets of the City of Savonlinna

I took some pictures from the city of Savonlinna in Eastern Finland during winter. The city is small but famous for its old castle on an island in the surrounding lake. The weather was very cloudy, so the lighting was poor for taking pictures. I still walked from the streets near the castle to the cliffs of a bay from where there was a nice view of the castle.

The streets near the castle looked pretty empty even during midday. Near the castle were more pretty wooden buildings while further away the buildings were mostly concrete.

Across the strait with the castle there are cliffs at the Kyrönniemi Bay, from where there is a nice view of the castle. There is also an additional picture I took once the clouds started to clear at which point I was already out of the city.
