On the island of Kuusisto near the city of Turku in Western Finland there is an old castle ruins with a nature trail nearby. I took the following pictures during spring while walking through the trail to the ruins. The nature trail is a short trail that goes through a forested hill and passes by the coast of the island. The nearby area is pretty rural with an old estate and fields

There were already some flowers blooming but not much green leaves in trees.

The castle ruins were pretty small and there wasn’t much of the castle left. The original castle was built in the 13th or 14th century.
