Walking Through the Coastal Parks of Kotka

The Sapokka and Katariina parks are parks located on the coast of the Kotkansaari Island in the city of Kotka in Southern Finland. The parks are very pretty during summer when the Sapokka park is filled with flowers and the Katariina parks has large open fields of grass. I took some pictures from the parks during a visit to the city. I walked from the Sapokka port along a coastal road past the parks during a summer morning at took the following pictures from there.

The weather was very nice with no clouds in the sky. The port of Sapokka where I started my trip was filled with small boats. From there I headed to the Sapokka park right next to the port.

The Sapokka park is a small park on the coast of a bay in Sapokka. Along the path through the park there are beautiful flowers and other plants. On one side of the bay, there are some hills to which there are paths through the forest that lead to the top of the hills.

The second park I walked through was the Katariina park near the coast. There are trails there through the forest and along the coast. On the coastal road which I walked through, there is a small beach before the actual park and a small area with more flowers surrounding a stream from the hills inland.
