The Aurinkovuori Hill is a hill in the town of Vääksy on the coast of the Päijänne Lake in Central Finland. On the hill, there is a short nature trail that has spots with a nice view of the lakes around the hill. Most of the trail goes through a forest from where it is difficult to see the landscape around it. I walked through a part of the trail in very early morning and took these pictures from there.

I have been here many times before, so I knew that there would be a nice view of the sunrise from one spot on the hill. I did manage to get up early enough to get there during sunrise to take pictures of it. The name of the hill translated to english is “Sun Mountain”, so these are pictures of the sunrise from the sun mountain.

Much of the nature trail goes through the forest on the hill.

In addition to being on the coast of the Päijänne Lake, the town and the hill are also on the coast of the Vesijärvi Lake, since they are located between the lakes. Here are some pictures from the other side of the hill from where Vesijärvi Lake is visible.

Once I had traveled around the trail, I went to the place where I took the pictures of the sunrise to see what it looks like normally during the day.
